BETONBLOCK Concrete Moulds

Need a good way to manage traffic? Concrete road barriers are more commonly known as Jersey barriers, which are used to separate lanes all over the world. Over the years, the design of these important barriers has evolved. When it was found that cars colliding with a Jersey barrier at high speeds would tend to flip over because of the slanted base, the design was updated to create today’s safer barrier. The great advantage of concrete barriers is that they are ideal for temporary works, as their cast-in anchors or forklift notches make them easy to pick up and transport to the next project.
The Betonblock® barrier mould is a modular mould for cast concrete barricades and barriers that are used to separate lanes. The concrete barriers fit together perfectly and feature specially designed guides to safely channel traffic. Barriers are also used for roadblocks and diversions, as well as to protect pedestrians and road workers during the construction of (new) roads or roadworks. The barrier moulds from Betonblock® are a quick and easy way to produce concrete barriers. Important! The concrete barriers are only suitable for roads in built-up areas or with a speed limit of 50 km/h.

Betonblock® moulds are made of high-quality S355 steel and are powder-coated to create a hard scratch and impact-resistant layer. This coating also prevents the steel from rusting and comes in many different colours. The moulds are built to last and will continue to deliver for at least 10 years. The interlocking Concrete Block® moulds feature a unique closure that ensures that the moulds are easy to use and dimensionally stable, so you can keep producing identical stackable concrete blocks year in year out. Our high-quality moulds produce uniform blocks that fit together seamlessly and create sturdy structures. Many Betonblock® customers have been making blocks with the same mould(s) every day for a decade without any of the moulds warping.
Betonblock®’s interlocking concrete block moulds come in many different shapes and sizes. We carry moulds with a length of: 120 cm, 150 cm, 160 cm, 180 cm, 200 cm and 240 cm. Moulds come in the following widths and depths: 30 cm, 40 cm, 60 cm and 80 cm.
Making money with Betonblock®’s interlocking concrete block moulds is easier than you might think. All you have to do is reuse concrete leftovers! If you accidentally over-order concrete for a project, you can put the leftover concrete – which has already been paid for – to good use. Simply pour the leftover concrete into a Betonblock® mould and sell the stackable concrete blocks for well over cost! Using your leftover concrete does not just good for your bottom line, but also helps contribute to waste reduction and makes the world a more sustainable place.

Concrete slabs have been the most commonly used solution for temporary or permanent paving for years. Concrete slabs are a great way to quickly and efficiently cover large areas, because the large dimensions of the slabs mean that only a few go a long way. Concrete slabs are especially suited to heavy traffic areas, making them ideal for industry, agriculture and livestock farms.
Speed and efficiency: the main reasons for opting for concrete slabs over bricks and tiles. Due to their large dimensions, slabs are easier to lay and less likely to subside, producing a more level site. Concrete slabs are easy to move and remove, making them particularly useful in combination with work on pipes, cables or other types of earthworks. Betonblock® carries various types of lifting equipment, handling equipment and accessories in its range to transport and move these large slabs.

Retaining wall moulds are the latest addition to the Betonblock® concrete mould range. Although it is a relative newcomer, this L-shaped mould is already incredibly popular and produces a one-piece retaining wall. These L-shaped elements are used all over the world because concrete walls can withstand all weather conditions, such as snow, ice and rain, but also cope with extreme heat. Because of their special shape and durability, retaining walls are highly versatile.
Projects with retaining walls:
· Flood defence
· Storage facilities
· Garden and yard fencing
· Splash and noise barriers
· Bridging height differences
· Quay walls and walls along canals and ponds
Betonblock® retaining walls are available in various sizes and designs. The basic retaining wall mould is 100x100x100 cm, which can be modified with the retaining wall extension set to create a retaining wall mould measuring 100x100x200 cm. The extension set is also sold separately, so you can always extend your 1 m retaining wall mould to a 2 m version at a later date. We also carry a medium mould: 100x100x150. Ask our staff about the possibilities.
To produce a retaining wall, the L-shaped mould has to lie on its side. Inserting cast-in anchors makes it easier to tilt and manoeuvre the concrete block before moving it to its destination. Betonblock® also has special retaining wall clamps with a maximum capacity of 3,000 and 5,000 kg, respectively. We also recommend ordering an oil pump and formwork oil if you do not already have them.

Tetrapod moulds are by far the most striking shape in the Betonblock® range. Tetrapods are concrete structures that protect shorelines and river banks by acting as breakwaters. Tetrapods, after the Greek word for ‘four feet’, are shaped like a tetrahedron: a triangular pyramid with four faces and four corners. The legs of the tetrapods hook into each other, creating a row of stable concrete breakwaters along the coast.
